A Step Forward Early Learning Academy is seeking experienced classroom teachers to join our team. Our mission is to prepare children for kindergarten and help them develop life skills along the way. Position Summary We are seeking two full-time teachers to guide classroom instruction and foster a dynamic learning environment. In this role, teachers will support the growth and development of young children, and help foster a fun environment for students, parents, and staff. The right person is a great communicator who gets along well with kids, works smoothly with coworkers, and genuinely cares about supporting our families." Key Responsibilities Plan and implement curriculum Maintain frequent communications with parents through verbal communication, center communication app, and parent/teacher conferences Utilize appropriate classroom management and behavior guidance techniques Continuously looking for ways to engage with children and stimulate learning Ensure all center policies and state regulations are followed. Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children. Maintain accurate records Additional Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required Minimum of 1 year of professional child care experience. Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills. High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment. Educational Requirements A minimum of six credit hours in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred but not required.
