Toddler Teacher
Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for toddlers, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and personalized care. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for teaching young children, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families. Responsibilities Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers Supervise and engage children during daily activities, including playtime, learning sessions, and nap times Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety standards Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones Manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere Provide guidance and support to assistant teachers or aides as needed Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, developmental progress, and any incidents or concerns Incorporate early childhood education best practices with an emphasis on childhood development principles Stay current with certifications such as first aid and CPR; participate in ongoing professional development Requirements Knowledge of childhood development theories and age-specific activities Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an engaging learning environment Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and children Compassionate caregiver with a genuine passion for nurturing young children's growth and learning.
