Ladybug Crossing Early Learning Center is seeking an experienced, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team. We are looking for an early childhood professional who can confidently lead a classroom while creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. This position requires someone who understands that great preschool teaching involves building relationships with children, planning intentional learning experiences, maintaining a well-managed classroom, communicating with families, and working collaboratively with the rest of our team.

Qualifications Candidates must have:

At least one year of experience working in an early childhood classroom Experience implementing an established curriculum A strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills The ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team Dependability and consistent attendance An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Experience implementing the Pyramid Model and using positive, relationship-based approaches to support children's social-emotional development and behavior is also highly preferred. Primary Responsibilities Our Preschool Teacher will be responsible for: Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom activities Creating engaging learning experiences in areas such as literacy, math, science, art, sensory play, music, movement, and social-emotional development Preparing classroom materials and maintaining organized learning centers Observing children and completing developmental assessments and other required documentation Using observations and assessment information to help individualize learning experiences Maintaining consistent classroom routines and expectations Supporting children's independence, problem-solving skills, emotional regulation, and positive peer relationships Using positive guidance and developmentally appropriate behavior-support strategies Maintaining active supervision and ensuring children's safety throughout the day Maintaining required staff-to-child ratios and following all licensing regulations and center policies Communicating professionally with parents regarding their child's day, development, accomplishments, and concerns Documenting important information and communicating effectively with administration and other teachers Working collaboratively with co-teachers, assistants, and support staff Helping children with meals, toileting, handwashing, rest time, outdoor play, and other daily routines as needed Maintaining a clean, organized, welcoming classroom, including routine cleaning and sanitizing responsibilities Preparing the classroom for transitions and keeping materials and supplies organized Participating in staff meetings, training, professional development, and center events Completing required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time Assisting in other classrooms or areas of the center when needed to support children, staffing, and ratios What We're Looking For We want someone who genuinely enjoys working with preschoolers but also understands the responsibility that comes with being their teacher. Compensation Starting wage will be determined based on education, early childhood experience, and relevant training.
