Rise for baby and family is seeking an experienced, thoughtful, and collaborative Early Childhood Teacher to join our small, inclusive child care program serving infants and toddlers. Rise Child Care is a fully inclusive program where children learn through relationships, exploration, play, and meaningful experiences. We spend significant time outdoors and incorporate nature-based learning throughout the day. Our program is intentionally small, with a team of three teachers and a Director/Lead Teacher working closely together to create a responsive, high-quality environment for children. We are looking for a teacher who genuinely understands child development and recognizes that young children have different strengths, needs, temperaments, and ways of engaging with the world. Our teachers are expected to know the children well, adapt their approach to meet individual needs, and create an environment where all children can participate and thrive. What You'll Do Actively supervise, engage with, and play alongside infants and toddlers throughout the day. Build warm, responsive relationships with children and families. Use knowledge of child development to plan experiences and environments that support children's social-emotional, physical, cognitive, and communication development. Support an inclusive classroom, adapting activities, routines, and expectations to meet individual children's developmental needs. Create opportunities for child-led exploration, outdoor learning, sensory experiences, creativity, and open-ended play. Observe children's interests and development and use those observations to guide curriculum and classroom experiences. Work closely and collaboratively with a small teaching team, sharing responsibility for the children, classroom, planning, and daily routines. Communicate respectfully and professionally with families and colleagues. Maintain a safe, engaging, organized, and high-quality learning environment. Who We're Looking For The right person for this position is someone who: Has a strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practice. Believes relationships and play are central to children's learning. Enjoys being outdoors and getting down on the floor to actively engage with children. Values inclusion and is comfortable adapting their approach for children with different developmental and behavioral needs. Is dependable, reflective, flexible, and willing to give and receive feedback. Works well as part of a team. In a program this small, communication, collaboration, and shared responsibility are essential. Cares deeply about the quality of children's experiences—not simply completing the routines of the day. Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1,000 hours of experience working with young children. College coursework in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, including at least 3 credits in child growth or development. Ability to meet New Hampshire child care licensing requirements, including required health and safety training, fingerprinting/background checks, physical examination, and First Aid/CPR certification.
