Lead Teacher /Center Director Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and energetic Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with your co-teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate supports developmental milestones, fosters positive relationships with children and families, and adheres strictly to all New Hampshire child care licensing regulations.Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:
Responsibilities include planning and implementing daily lesson plans, age-appropriate activities, and routines that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.Child Care & Supervision:
Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the classroom at all times, both indoors and outdoors.Positive Guidance:
Support children in developing social skills, self-regulation, and conflict-resolution strategies using positive reinforcement and trauma-informed practices.Environment Maintenance:
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming learning environment that meets state health and safety standards.Family Communication:
Build and maintain professional, positive relationships with parents and guardians, providing daily updates on children's progress and activities as directed.Professional Development:
Attend staff meetings, school events, and fulfill the annual professional development training hours required by the NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).New Hampshire Qualifications & Requirements:
To meet the NH Child Care Program Licensing rules (He-C 4005), candidates for the Assistant Teacher position must meet at least one of the following criteria: Option 1 (Education): Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma (or equivalent) plus successfully completed at least 3 credits in early childhood education, kindergarten, or child development from a regionally accredited college or university. Option 2 (Credential): Hold a current, valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or NH Early Childhood Professional Credential. Option 3 (Trainee/Work Experience): Be willing to enroll in and complete the required 3-credit early childhood course within a specified timeframe as permitted by NH licensing rules.Additional Requirements:
Must pass a comprehensive background check through the NH Bureau of Criminal Identification and the NH Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire). Proof of required immunizations/health physical as mandated by NH child care licensing. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to stoop, kneel, sit on the floor, and lift up to 40 pounds to engage with children.What We Offer:
