Job Description

Keene Young Men's Christian Association (Keene YMCA) seeks a Child Care Associate Teacher to support high-quality early learning in our licensed childcare programs. In this role, you'll assist in planning and leading age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Responsibilities include daily supervision, maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom, supporting behavior guidance, preparing materials, and communicating with families. You'll collaborate with lead teachers and staff in a mission-driven, inclusive environment focused on youth development and community impact. Responsibilities Support implementation of daily curriculum and age-appropriate learning activities. Provide constant, attentive supervision to ensure child safety and wellbeing. Maintain a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. Assist with behavior guidance and social-emotional skill development. Communicate daily highlights and concerns to parents and guardians. Support routines including meals, rest time, transitions, and outdoor play. Follow all state licensing, YMCA, and health and safety regulations. Help keep classroom spaces clean, organized, and well-stocked. Document attendance and incident reports as required. Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support program goals.
