Duties Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, emphasizing literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a positive classroom environment that supports behavior management and promotes respectful interactions among students. Plan engaging lessons that incorporate child development principles, early intervention strategies, and hands-on activities to stimulate learning. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, milestones, and classroom events to foster strong home-school connections. Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, and developmental progress in compliance with educational standards. Ensure safety by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols and following mandated reporting laws related to child welfare concerns. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and inclusive practices for children with special needs or requiring additional support. Requirements Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies suited for preschool learners. Familiarity with special education concepts, early intervention programs, and working with children requiring additional support. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood welfare is highly valued.
