The Infant Classroom Lead Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants in our care. The Lead Teacher provides daily classroom leadership, develops meaningful relationships with children and families, implements age-appropriate learning experiences, and ensures that all health, safety, licensing, and center policies are consistently followed. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, organized, nurturing, and passionate about supporting infants during their earliest stages of growth and development. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide warm, attentive, and responsive care to each infant while supporting their individual needs, routines, and developmental milestones. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment at all times. Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, language, social-emotional, sensory, and physical development. Follow each infant's individualized feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care schedule. Properly prepare, store, label, and administer bottles, food, and other feeding items in accordance with center policies. Perform diaper changes and other personal-care routines using appropriate sanitation and hygiene procedures. Maintain active supervision of children at all times and ensure required staff-to-child ratios are maintained. Observe and document children's development, behaviors, milestones, and daily activities. Complete required daily reports, including information regarding feeding, diapering, sleep, activities, and other important observations. Communicate professionally and regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's day, development, accomplishments, and concerns. Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families. Provide leadership and direction to Assistant Teachers and other classroom staff. Clearly communicate classroom expectations, responsibilities, schedules, and daily assignments to supporting staff. Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other departments to maintain consistent standards of care. Ensure the classroom complies with all applicable state licensing regulations and center policies and procedures. Follow all procedures regarding health, sanitation, safe sleep, emergency preparedness, incident reporting, and child supervision. Maintain accurate classroom records and required documentation. Monitor classroom supplies and notify administration when additional materials are needed. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, training, special events, and center activities. Assist with maintaining classroom appearance, cleanliness, and organization throughout the day. Immediately report safety concerns, injuries, unusual incidents, or concerns regarding a child's health or well-being to administration. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, employees, and center operations. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Center Director or administration.
