Palisades Preschool About Us Palisades Preschool was founded in 1965 in Fort Lee, NJ, and has been serving children ages 2-6 ever since. The original school was established by Maryann and Richard Hubschman Sr. and remains proudly family-owned and operated today by the third generation, Tiffany and Rich Hubschman. Their vision is to honor the longstanding traditions of Palisades Preschool while thoughtfully expanding to new locations beyond Fort Lee NJ.
Position Overview Aftercare Teacher Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 2:45 PM•6:00 PM (Part-Time) About the Role Palisades Preschools is seeking a warm, reliable, and engaged Aftercare Teacher to lead our afternoon extended-day program. This role is responsible for the care, safety, and enrichment of children from the end of the academic day until closing, providing a nurturing and structured environment that complements our classroom curriculum. Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children ages 2-6 during aftercare hours in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including free play, arts and crafts, outdoor time, and quiet/rest activities Maintain accurate attendance and ensure proper sign-out procedures with authorized adults Communicate daily with families regarding their child's afternoon, as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the aftercare space Ensure all health, safety, and licensing standards are upheld throughout the program Collaborate with lead classroom teachers and administration to ensure continuity of care Administer basic first aid as needed and follow emergency procedures Qualifications Experience working with young children in a childcare, preschool, or camp setting preferred CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to pass required background checks and clearances per NJ licensing requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about early childhood care 18+ years old

$17•20
Pay:
$17.00•$20.00 per hour
