In this role, you will support the delivery of engaging, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children during afternoon hours. Duties Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Assist with classroom management to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for all children Support children with daily routines such as snack time, bathroom breaks, and outdoor play Implement child development instruction strategies aligned with early childhood education standards Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences Maintain accurate attendance records and classroom documentation in compliance with licensing requirements Follow health and safety protocols including pediatric first aid, CPR, mandated reporting laws, and emergency procedures to ensure children's well-being at all times Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in preschool, daycare, or childcare settings is highly preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid certification is a plus) Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is advantageous Strong classroom experience with effective behavior management skills Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods and respond quickly to children's needs Familiarity with early childhood education practices and classroom management strategies This role is ideal for college students or retired school teachers that are passionate and eager to foster a love of learning in young children while developing their skills in early childhood education.
