We are looking for an educator who understands that preschool children learn best through play, exploration, relationships, and meaningful hands-on experiences. Our Lead Teachers create engaging classrooms where children are encouraged to ask questions, make choices, solve problems, build independence, and develop a lifelong love of learning. What You'll Do As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will: Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and experiences using The Creative Curriculum for Preschool Use Creative Curriculum studies, interest areas, routines, and intentional teaching experiences to support children's learning throughout the day Create lesson plans that incorporate children's interests, individual needs, developmental goals, and current classroom studies Maintain an engaging classroom environment with purposeful learning opportunities throughout each interest area Observe and document children's development and use assessment information to guide future planning and individualization Provide opportunities that support children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, literacy, math, physical, and creative development Facilitate meaningful small-group, large-group, and individual learning experiences while recognizing the importance of child-directed play Establish consistent classroom routines, expectations, and positive behavior supports Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom experiences, children's progress, and developmental milestones Lead and collaborate with classroom assistants to ensure consistency and high-quality care throughout the day Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom Participate in professional development, staff meetings, trainings, and center-wide initiatives Follow all First Impressions policies and New Jersey child care licensing requirements We're Looking for

Passionate about early childhood education Creative and excited about hands-on, play-based learning Comfortable planning and implementing curriculum Patient, nurturing, and responsive to children's individual needs Dependable, organized, and able to take initiative A strong leader who can also work collaboratively as part of a team Comfortable communicating professionally with families and coworkers Interested in continuing to learn and grow as an early childhood educator Qualifications Previous experience working in a preschool or early childhood classroom Lead teaching experience preferred Knowledge of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool and Teaching Strategies GOLD preferred Understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and play-based learning Ability to plan, implement, and document meaningful learning experiences Must meet all New Jersey child care licensing requirements Must complete required background checks and trainings CPR/First Aid certification preferred; training can be completed as required CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or college coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred

Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
