Role Description The Lead Preschool Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Westwood, NJ. This role is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for preschool-aged children, fostering social-emotional and early academic skills. The Lead Preschool Teacher Will create a safe, nurturing classroom environment, guide daily routines, and support children's individual learning needs. Responsibilities include communicating regularly with families, collaborating with team members, maintaining classroom organization, and ensuring compliance with all licensing and health and safety standards. The role also involves observing and documenting child progress, participating in staff meetings and professional development, and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture. Qualifications Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, with experience teaching preschool or Kindergarten. Skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned with age-appropriate learning standards. Effective Communication skills for engaging children, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families. Knowledge of child development, positive behavior support, and classroom management strategies. Ability to create inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. Relevant state teaching certifications or credentials, or willingness to obtain them as required. CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
