What our teachers do:
- Lead a classroom.
- Create developmentally appropriate and fun classroom activities that include the competency areas of Early Childhood Development. Program includes daily scheduled educational, art, music, fitness and social skills activities. As well as meal and snack periods.
- Assess child's needs and development through observations and screenings.
- Communicate directly with parents to achieve success for the child and encourage mutual cooperation.
- Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing regulations and company policies & procedures.
- Ensure the health, safety and well-being of every child in the program at all times.
- Maintain clean and organized classrooms.
- Other duties as assigned. What you need to work with us:
- GED or High School Diploma.
- B.A. in Early Childhood Education
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous experience in child care which may include babysitting in a private home, child care in a private/public organization, or formal role in a school setting.
- Ability to maintain a professional manner including confidentiality and appropriate communication with all parties (staff, children and families).
- Ability to provide a good example for children with appropriate dress, grooming and cleanliness.
- Ability to maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Prior to hire the applicant must obtain,a letter from the FBI/state stating that the applicant has been fingerprinted and that a criminal background check shows no record or felony convictions related to the care and custody of children. The applicant pays the $44 fee.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid, must be maintained throughout employment.
- The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
- After hire, employee must successfully complete health and safety orientation.
- Once hired, prior to starting employment, the employee provides a statement from a physician stating that the employe is free of tuberculosis (TB).
- If applicant is offered a position, the applicant must provide 3 professional references, including at least one person the applicant reported to (manager or supervisor).
- Must be physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.

- Paid time to take on-site training courses taught by an outside party to achieve a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education per year.
- Assistance with gaining Early Childhood Development Certificate, tuitions and books are paid by company.
