PRESCHOOL TEACHER - PART-TIME

Little Friends Childcare Center - Sparks, Nevada Little Friends Childcare Center is looking for an experienced, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are looking for someone who is confident working with young children and can independently lead their own classroom/group , maintain a positive classroom environment, and provide quality care and learning experiences.

POSITION

Part-Time Preschool Teacher Must be available to work up to 5 days per week AM and/or PM shifts available Flexible scheduling may be available for the right candidate Must be dependable and willing to work a consistent schedule Must be comfortable working with children ages 2-5 years

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate will: Have previous preschool/childcare experience Be confident managing and leading their own group of children Be able to plan and provide age-appropriate activities Create a fun, safe, clean, and positive classroom environment Be patient, caring, energetic, and dependable Be comfortable with diapering/toileting, meals, nap time, and daily routines Be able to communicate professionally with parents and coworkers Be able to follow center policies, schedules, and licensing requirements Work well independently while also being a team player Be willing to help with classroom cleaning and organization Have a genuine love for working with young children

NEVADA CHILDCARE REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet applicable Nevada childcare licensing requirements for caregivers, including: Meet the age and caregiver qualifications required by Nevada childcare regulations Be able to pass required criminal background and child-abuse/neglect registry checks Complete required fingerprinting/background screening Be registered with the Nevada Registry or complete registration within the required timeframe Have current CPR and First Aid certification , or be willing to obtain it as required Complete required Nevada childcare trainings, including applicable training in: Child development Recognizing and reporting child abuse and neglect Signs and symptoms of illness Bloodborne pathogens

SIDS/SUID

prevention, when applicable Obesity and wellness Behavior management Medication administration Children's rights and center policies Other required Nevada childcare licensing training Nevada also requires ongoing professional development/training for childcare staff.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Required:

Previous experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting Ability to independently lead a group/classroom Ability to meet Nevada childcare licensing requirements

Preferred:

CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Nevada Registry experience/registration CPR/First Aid certification Experience working with children ages 2-5 THIS
