In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to support the growth of young children. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire children to explore, learn, and thrive while ensuring a safe and engaging classroom experience. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum development best practices. Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional growth, literacy education, and physical activity. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress, developmental milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations to maintain a safe learning environment. Collaborate with colleagues on special education plans, early intervention strategies, and individualized instruction for children with diverse needs. Maintain accurate records of child development instruction, assessments, attendance, and other documentation necessary for program quality assurance. Skills Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and literacy education techniques. Experience with classroom management, behavior management strategies, and implementing child welfare protocols. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, first aid and CPR certification, and health & safety procedures relevant to early childhood education. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate math skills, physical education activities, and standardized testing preparation when appropriate. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining flexibility in a dynamic classroom setting.
