Role:
Kids Place Learning Center has an opening in our UPK and Preschool classrooms. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with NYS learning standards Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment for preschool-aged children Observe, assess, and document student progress and development Communicate regularly with families regarding children's growth, milestones, and classroom activities Collaborate with assistant teachers, staff, and administrators to support classroom goals Maintain accurate records, attendance, and required program documentation Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred New York State teaching certification in Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) preferred Prior experience in an early childhood classroom setting Strong knowledge of NYS Early Learning Guidelines and developmentally appropriate practices Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children Must meet NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) background check requirements
