Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Child Care Director, Lead Teacher, or Infant Program Coordinator, the Teacher works as part of a collaborative classroom team to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children.

The Teacher helps plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities while supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in accordance with New York State regulations, accreditation standards, and center policies.

Responsibilities Include:

Support daily classroom activities and routines

Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences

Provide a safe, caring, and positive environment for children

Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and childcare staff

Follow childcare regulations, safety guidelines, and center procedures

Participate in classroom and program improvement activities

Qualifications:
Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent education

Minimum of 1 year experience working with children

Preferred:

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

Vocational training in childcare

College coursework in education or early childhood development
