As a Lead Teacher, you will take an active leadership role in creating and implementing an engaging, developmentally appropriate early childhood education program.

You'll:

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, learner-centered curriculum and activities

Create a safe, healthy, and nurturing classroom environment

Work closely with Teachers and Teaching Assistants to provide high-quality care and education

Use your knowledge of each child's interests, skills, relationships, and developmental needs to personalize learning opportunities

Monitor and document children's developmental progress using appropriate assessment tools

Mentor and guide Teaching Assistants while helping develop plans for their professional growth and success

Maintain required classroom documentation and participate in meetings

Conduct parent/teacher conferences and provide support to families

Collaborate with other Lead Teachers to evaluate and improve the Center's educational programs

Facilitate staff meetings and training sessions

Participate in center-wide quality improvement initiatives What We're Looking For

Minimum Education:

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential

Minimum Experience:

3 years of full-time classroom teaching experience

Program-specific experience required for Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher positions Skills & Qualifications
