About the Position We are looking for a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with toddlers and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow. As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, maintaining a consistent daily routine, supporting children's social-emotional development, and partnering with families and fellow teachers to provide high-quality care. Responsibilities Provide attentive, nurturing, and responsive care to toddlers. Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage learning through play. Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Support children's language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behavior expectations. Maintain accurate daily records, including meals, naps, diapering/toileting, and developmental observations. Communicate professionally and regularly with parents and guardians about their child's day and development. Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, administration, and other classroom staff. Follow all health, safety, licensing, and childcare center policies. Supervise children at all times and maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios. Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, nap routines, and other daily care needs. Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and classroom events. Serve as a positive role model for children and coworkers. Qualifications Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework or degree preferred. Strong understanding of toddler development and age-appropriate teaching practices. Patient, dependable, energetic, and compassionate personality. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to maintain a calm and positive classroom environment. Ability to meet all state childcare licensing requirements, including required background checks, health clearances, and training. Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Pay:

From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
