Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to preschool-aged children, incorporating literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills. Lead lesson planning sessions that align with early childhood education standards and incorporate best practices in child development instruction. Support children's behavioral management through positive reinforcement techniques and individualized behavior strategies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns with professionalism and empathy. Supervise classroom staff and assist in training new team members to uphold high standards of childcare and education. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor developmental progress and inform instructional strategies. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by engaging in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, literacy education, and classroom management. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in preschool or early childhood education settings. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques. Knowledge of child welfare practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws. Experience working with children who have special needs or require early intervention services is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood development is preferred. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures, literacy instruction methods, and math curriculum implementation. Prior preschool teaching experience in private or public school environments is advantageous. Ability to foster a nurturing environment that promotes physical activity, social-emotional growth, and cognitive development.
