Job Description
It's all about fun, and learning through play. We are seeking out a motivated, fun, creative, and loving person to become a child care assistant at our Group Family Daycare. Someone who can do all overall daycare duties with a professional, yet playful attitude. Someone who is nurturing and experienced with working with young children and infants. If you are active and like being outdoors, even better. We do a lot of outdoor activities in the summer including gardening and water play activities. Working with young children also involves diaper changing and potty training and light chores. Currently we are looking for someone to work 8:30-5:30 pm or 9:00-6:00 days a week. All daycare assistants are required to complete the following to be certified to work in any daycare setting: 15 hours annual training required SCR Clearance Form/background check Fingerprints/ Medical exam/TB test/First Aid/CPR/Must be over 18 Reliability a must! This can be a fun job for the right candidate. Please respond if you think you're the one! Responsibilities Follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material Provide basic care and caregiving activities Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, art, music etc) to enhance the child's abilities. Evaluate children's performance to make sure they are on the right learning track Observe children and promote positive interactions Collaborate with other colleagues Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources Skills Proven experience as a child care / daycare teacher (willing to train the right person with no experience at minimum wage) Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods Methodical and creative Patience, flexibility and love for children Strong communication and time management skills
