Job Description

The Children's Community Early Head Start program is looking to hire an Infant ToddlerTeacher for our Port Jefferson Center. EHS Teachers work together with a co-teacher and a maximum of 8 children
  • and are responsible for planning and facilitating developmentally appropriate lessons, screening children for developmental delays, tracking children's progress towards school readiness goals, parent engagement and communication. There is a $500 sign-on bonus after the completion of 3 months of employment
  • Employee must be in "good standing" to qualify for the bonus. We offer paid sick, personal, and vacation time after 3 months, as well as approx. 14 paid holidays per year. We offer paid tuition assistance for job related coursework after 1 year
  • as well as a 403b retirement plan with a 4% employer contribution after 1 year, irregardless of if the employee contributes to the plan or not. Minimum requirement
  • Infant Toddler CDA or Associates in ECE
  • OR enrollment in an Infant Toddler CDA or Associates in ECE with an agreement to complete within 18months.
