The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for working with children and demonstrate excellent classroom management skills. This role involves supervising children during various activities, implementing engaging youth development programs, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while fostering their growth through structured activities and creative play. Responsibilities Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and engagement at all times. Implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote childhood development and social skills. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR procedures, and emergency response guidelines. Manage behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Facilitate youth group activities, including arts, crafts, sports, theater, and outdoor adventures to encourage teamwork and leadership. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute youth programs aligned with developmental goals. Support children with special needs by applying inclusive teaching practices and working closely with specialists when necessary. Assist in maintaining program documentation, attendance records, and safety compliance standards. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is required. Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are essential. Experience in classroom management, childcare activities, tutoring, or youth group facilitation is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while supervising outdoor activities. Background in special education or theater experience is a plus for creating dynamic programming environments. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide young participants toward positive growth outcomes.
