In this vital role, you will lead the development and implementation of nurturing, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for infants, fostering a safe and stimulating environment that promotes growth and exploration. Your leadership will ensure high-quality care, support for families, and adherence to all safety and licensing standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence young lives during their foundational years while working in a collaborative and dynamic setting. Duties Lead daily classroom activities focused on infant development, including sensory play, language acquisition, motor skills, and social-emotional growth. Supervise and support assistant teachers and caregivers to maintain a cohesive, positive classroom environment. Ensure all safety protocols are followed rigorously, including pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships. Plan and organize developmental assessments to monitor each infant's growth and tailor activities accordingly. Maintain accurate documentation of daily routines, incident reports, health records, and developmental progress notes. Manage classroom behavior with effective caregiving strategies that promote positive interactions and emotional security. Qualifications Proven experience working with infants in daycare or early childhood education settings; preschool or toddler care experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, infant care practices, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; ongoing training in child safety is preferred. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to lead by example with enthusiasm, patience, and a proactive approach to caregiving. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and behavior management strategies to ensure a safe learning environment.
