Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and creative activities to support holistic child development. Provide attentive preschool instruction, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with compassion and professionalism. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies to maintain a respectful learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school connections. Conduct assessments of children's development using standardized testing methods and adapt lesson plans accordingly to support early intervention when needed. Ensure safety by maintaining compliance with mandated reporting laws, first aid and CPR certifications, and health protocols to protect children at all times. Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and special education initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided. Requirements Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, including classroom experience with toddlers and preschoolers. Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention techniques, special education practices, and literacy education strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development standards across multiple domains including math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child welfare. Passion for nurturing young learners' growth through innovative teaching methods and classroom management techniques.
