Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support the daily care and development of young children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Support children during playtime, meal times, nap times, and other daily routines with patience and care. Help with classroom organization, including setting up materials and cleaning up after activities. Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, and educational exercises to foster social and emotional growth. Monitor children's behavior and assist in behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's daily activities and progress. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs; experience in special education is a plus. Strong classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment. Compassionate caregiving skills with a nurturing approach to infant, toddler, and preschool care.
