Job Description

Head Teacher - Bean and Sprout Kids Center (Montessori Daycare in Woodside, Queens, NY) Bean and Sprout Kids Center, a Montessori daycare located conveniently next to the subway station in Woodside, Queens, is seeking qualified and experienced Head Teachers to join our team. The Head Teachers will work under the guidance of the Education Director to support programs serving 3-5 years old children.
Position:
Head Teacher Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degree (or currently enrolled) in Early Childhood Education or a related field Valid NYS teaching certification (preferred) Minimum of one year of teaching experience (two or more years preferred) Passionate about educating and nurturing young children Caring, kind, patient, responsible, reliable, organized, hardworking, and team-oriented Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese is a plus; fluency in a second language is preferred Must complete pre-employment verification, background screening clearance, and required training prior to employment Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with NYS standards and Montessori philosophy Maintain a safe, engaging, and structured classroom environment Observe, assess, and document student development and share feedback with families Inspire students to think critically, independently, and creatively Utilize diverse teaching strategies to support individual learning styles Participate in ongoing professional development and collaborate with colleagues

$52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
