Job Description
Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage children through age-appropriate activities including games, arts & crafts,and circle time Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment Build positive relationships with children and families Follow daily schedules while creating smooth transitions throughout the day Support infants and toddlers with feeding, diapering, and hands-on care Model YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility Collaborate with teammates to deliver joyful, high-quality programming Qualifications Minimum age of 18 Energy, responsibility, and a passion for working with children Ability to multitask and remain attentive in a dynamic environment Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusion Childcare experience preferred Certifications in CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens, and YMCA Child Abuse Prevention (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire). Physical Requirements This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, observing, and communicating, as well as occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs.
