In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining high-quality childcare services, supporting staff development, and building strong relationships with families. Duties Manage daily center operations, including scheduling, enrollment, and staff coordination to ensure smooth functioning of the daycare. Supervise and support teaching staff by providing guidance on child development instruction, classroom management, behavior management, and curriculum implementation. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, mandated reporting laws, health and safety standards such as first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and childcare policies. Foster positive communication with parents by providing regular updates on children's progress, addressing concerns promptly, and facilitating parent meetings. Oversee classroom environments to promote engaging learning experiences for children across age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities. Conduct staff training sessions on topics such as childhood development, special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and emergency procedures. Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, incident reports, health information, and licensing documentation. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings; daycare center experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development instruction, and classroom management techniques. Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification is a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs; familiarity with special education practices is advantageous. Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration. Ability to lead a team of educators while maintaining a positive and nurturing environment for children. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and safety protocols related to childcare environments. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
