In this vital role, you will lead early childhood education initiatives, develop engaging curriculum plans, and support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of preschool children. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health guidelines, first aid procedures, CPR protocols, and mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum development strategies that support inclusive education, special education needs, and early intervention programs. Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, attendance, and developmental progress. Qualifications Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methods. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred. Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations including toddlers and preschoolers; experience teaching physical education or math is a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
