Experienced Early Childhood Education Assistant Center Director The Early Childhood Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for young children within our institution. This leadership position is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the early childhood program, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of education and care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in education administration, strategic planning, and budgeting, along with exceptional leadership skills to help guide and inspire staff while fostering a nurturing environment for children. Responsibilities Assist the Director in managing the operations of the early childhood center, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with licensing regulations. Provide leadership and support to teaching staff through professional development opportunities and performance evaluations. Collaborate with parents, community organizations, and stakeholders to promote the program and enhance educational offerings. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children. Stay current with trends in early childhood education and integrate innovative practices into the curriculum. Experience A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited university is preferred. Proven experience in education administration, including budgeting and strategic planning. Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team management and staff development. Strong communication skills to effectively educate staff, engage parents, and collaborate with community partners. A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering children's growth and development. Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Prior Assistant Director experience is required Associate's degree or CDA required; Bachelor's degree preferred CPL Level 3 or higher Familiarity with Ohio's Step Up to Quality (SUTQ) program Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience Previous management or leadership experience preferred Must possess a valid driver's license if driving is a requirement of the position Strong communication, leadership, organization, and team-building skills Equal Opportunity Employer.
