This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families while working in a supportive, community-oriented setting. This opportunity is for teachers who want to work with 3 year old children. Duties Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development Ensure the safety and well-being of all children through vigilant supervision, adherence to safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and needs to foster strong relationships and collaborative care Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or well-being promptly Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and effective behavior management strategies Skills Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings with classroom management expertise Knowledge of child development instruction, early childhood education standards, and childhood development milestones Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork with colleagues Ability to implement age-specific activities that promote learning through play and exploration Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child supervision best practices Join us at Choctaw United Methodist Church creating a joyful environment where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to discover the world around them!
