Job Description

US Foods, a leading foodservice distributor, is seeking a CDL A Shuttle Driver to safely move trailers between distribution centers, yards, and select customer sites. In this performance-driven, safety-focused role, you will operate Class A tractors on scheduled shuttle routes, perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, and comply with all DOT and company regulations. You'll coordinate closely with dispatch and warehouse teams, maintain accurate electronic logs and paperwork, and support a fast-paced, customer-focused operation with opportunities for training and advancement. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL Class A tractor-trailers on assigned shuttle routes between distribution centers, yards, and customer locations. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting and documenting any vehicle or equipment issues. Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations, including hours-of-service and electronic logging requirements. Move, spot, and hook/unhook trailers at docks, yards, and staging areas according to dispatch instructions. Maintain accurate paperwork, manifests, and electronic logs for all shuttle moves and deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse, and transportation teams to resolve routing or scheduling issues. Practice safe driving in all weather and traffic conditions while protecting product quality and company assets. Support operational efficiency by following standard operating procedures and contributing to a performance-driven culture.
