Job Description
Early Head Start Teacher:
Desired qualifications: CDA in Infant/Toddler, Bachelor's or an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development. Our Head Start program has a low teacher to child ratio. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning. Manage classroom activities and maintain a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. Assess and document children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's development and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and support special education initiatives as needed. Summary As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and educational environment for infants and toddlers. This role requires a strong foundation in early childhood education, classroom management, and effective communication skills. You will develop and implement engaging lesson plans while addressing the diverse needs of young learners. With certifications such as Infant & Toddler Certification and Child Development Associate Certification, you will contribute to the holistic development of children, ensuring they receive the best start in their educational journey. Once a CDA is received, hourly salary will increase to $15.00.Requirements:
