My Gym Children's Fitness Center is hiring a Preschool Teacher to Lead our play-based, small group, half day preschool program for children 3-5 years. We cap enrollment at 10 children. Preschool is held Mon-Thurs 9am-12pm. Work hours would be either 8am-12:30pm or 8:30-1pm You'll be teaching daily and be given weekly admin hours to coordinate and organize the program/curriculum. General Responsibilities

• Use My Gym provided curriculum, or your own, to ensure class activities are always planned and prepped at least 1 month in advance
• Lead class daily
• Foster a fun and welcoming atmosphere that encourages engagement and participation
• Use age-appropriate and play-based learning methods for early literacy and math concepts
• Coordinate progress evaluations twice yearly to monitor individual student growth and hold informal parent/teacher conferences
• Engage with families by sending daily photos and monthly newsletters
• Work closely with the owner to plan quarterly events and seasonal outings for enrolled families Qualifications
• Childcare certification and/or degree
• 2+ years working as lead teacher with the 3-5 year old age group
• Previous admin experience a plus
• Able to effectively manage a classroom using positive reinforcement
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff and enrolled families
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
• CPR Certified
• Already enrolled in the Oregon Central Background Registry or ability to complete those steps before employment begins Compensation Details
• 18-20 hours per week with a set schedule
• More hours available if you want to work our once monthly Parents' Night Out events on Saturdays 5-8pm
• $100 health insurance stipend per month
• 20 hours per year PTO available after 6 months of employment
