Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher and Night Supervisor to join our vibrant early childhood education team. As a Lead Teacher and Night Supervisor, you will inspire children's curiosity, foster their developmental growth, and oversee the smooth operation of our preschool during evening shifts. Responsibilities Lead daily preschool activities, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Develop and adapt lesson plans that meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies. Manage classroom behavior effectively by applying positive behavior management techniques and maintaining a structured learning environment. Supervise children during evening hours, ensuring safety protocols are followed and providing responsive care tailored to toddlers and preschool-aged children. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through clear and compassionate updates. Oversee classroom operations during night shifts, including maintaining compliance with mandated reporting laws and health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certifications. Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support childhood development instruction while fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all children. Requirements Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Prior experience in special education or early intervention programs is highly desirable. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare and mandated reporting laws is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Ability to supervise children safely during evening hours while maintaining a lively yet controlled environment. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures related to early childhood education is advantageous.
