Conduct child development assessments to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's growth. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare incidents or concerns. Incorporate best practices in childhood development instruction and classroom management to foster a safe and inclusive space for all children. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and standardized testing relevant to early childhood education. Familiarity with special education techniques, early intervention strategies, and behavior management methods. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated understanding of child welfare laws and mandated reporting requirements. Experience teaching physical education or literacy education is a plus; familiarity with classroom management tools is advantageous.
