Responsibilities include helping in writing and implementing daily and weekly lesson plans, recording observations daily, written and verbal communication with parents, and bi-annual child service reports. The lesson plans must include a variety of activities that meet PA early learning standards.
Position Purpose:
Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times, being alert for the needs and/or problems of the children as individuals and as a group. Plans and implements daily program activities of teachers, assistants, aides and volunteers. Maintains and operates the Child Care Center in compliance with state regulations regarding the physical safety and well-being of the children who attend the Center.
Requirement/Education:
A BS, Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, or CDA is preferred. The candidate will also be required to acquire and maintain additional trainings and certifications per state licensing requirements. All potential candidates must complete all required background checks per Department of Human Services regulations including FBI Fingerprinting, PA State Police Background Check, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and National Sex Offender Registry Clearance. The candidates must also complete a health assessment and TB test prior to employment. Full Time Hours between 8am-5pm available. Salary negotiable based on education and experience. Paid time off and paid holidays after 90 day probationary period.
