In this role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Your passion for early childhood education and expertise in child development will inspire young learners and contribute to their foundational learning experiences. As a leader in the classroom, you will collaborate with families, implement engaging curricula, and ensure a safe, inclusive space where children can thrive. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, social-emotional skills, physical development, and early math concepts tailored for toddlers. Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are engaging, educational, and aligned with developmental milestones. Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children's progress and well-being. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain a cohesive and productive classroom environment. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Maintain detailed records of child development progress, assessments, and individualized plans when necessary. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers aged 1-3 years old. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing preschool or toddler-specific educational programs. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education best practices. Experience managing classroom dynamics through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Prior experience collaborating with parents or guardians to support children's learning journeys. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are highly desirable. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
