Conduct regular assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs. Engage in classroom management strategies to maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating space for children. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard children's well-being at all times. Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs. Plan and lead activities that promote physical development, social interaction, and emotional regulation. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, lesson plans, and progress reports. Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood education best practices, Montessori methods, or other specialized curricula. Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; classroom experience preferred. Strong knowledge of child development principles, early intervention techniques, and childhood education standards. Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, standardized testing preparation, and behavior management strategies. Associates or Bachelors Degree in ECE preferred, High school Diploma required. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners effectively. Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate math, literacy, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Experience working with diverse learners including toddlers, children with special needs or those requiring additional support. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child safety. Demonstrated classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment.
