Responsibilities Assist the Director in overseeing daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards focused on childhood development and early learning principles. Support staff with classroom management, behavior guidance, and implementing age-appropriate teaching strategies for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations—including first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid—and maintain a secure environment for children and staff. Facilitate effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns, fostering strong relationships built on trust and transparency. Coordinate staff schedules, supervise child supervision practices, and assist in recruiting qualified team members to maintain high-quality care. Lead efforts to create an inclusive classroom environment that supports children with special needs or disabilities through tailored child development instruction and specialized activities. Support ongoing staff training in areas such as classroom experience, behavior management, early childhood education techniques, and working with children of diverse backgrounds. Experience Prior experience working with children in daycare centers or early childhood education settings is essential. Demonstrated classroom experience managing young children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Knowledge of child development instruction methods and early childhood curriculum implementation. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs to promote inclusive learning environments. Familiarity with daycare center operations, child supervision protocols, and classroom management strategies. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws are highly preferred. Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members while maintaining a positive and energetic attitude.
