Job Description
Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Young Toddler staff member to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 12 to 36 months. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during these formative years while working in a collaborative and supportive setting. Duties Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and curiosity among toddlers. Use effective behavior management strategies to guide children's social interactions and emotional regulation. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and practicing proper childcare procedures. Share responsibility with the classroom for the care and education of an assigned group of children. Be responsible for implementing the daily program activities, curriculum, supervising children, communicating with parents, and providing a healthy and safe environment for children. Actively participate with other members of the staff to produce plans for the children, work with the parents and assess the needs of individual children. She/he will perform diapering, feeding, "housekeeping" and general care of children in the room, and could be required to perform other duties as specified by the director or acting director. Qualifications A minimum High school diploma or GED certificate and 2 years experience working with children and over the age of 18. A high school diploma or GED certificate and completion of a post secondary training curriculum. A high school diploma or GED certificate, 15 credit hours from an accredited college or university in ECE, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field and 1 year experience working with children. A HS diploma or GED certificate, including 600 or more hours of secondary education or the human services field. A HS diploma or GED certificate and 30 credit hours form an accredited college or university in ECE, child development, special education, elementary education or human services field.
