York Day Early Learning is looking for a Certified Teacher to join our team and work with our Mixed Age Preschool children (ages 3 - 5). Must have a PA Teaching Level 1 Certificate for PK-3rd grade and a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities include:

Setting up the physical layout of and choosing materials for the classroom, using NAEYC and ECERS best practices as a guide Plan and enact weekly lessons, aligned with PA Early Learning Standards Document children's progress and growth across all developmental domains, including the use of Teaching Strategies Gold and Ages and Stages assessment tools Regularly interact with and engage family members of students to ensure a strong home-school connection Ensure the health, safety, and supervision of all children in the class Paperwork completion as needed for DHS, STARS, NAEYC, and CACFP programs Oversee and engage with classroom teaching team; collaborate with other Pre-K Counts classroom staff to ensure that programs are running smoothly and in a way that compliments one another Required clearances, health assessment, and trainings: PA State Criminal History, Childline Child Abuse Certification, National Sex Offender Registry Clearance, and Federal FBI clearance. Mandated Reporter training. Physical health assessment including a tuberculosis test Completion of a minimum of 12 annual training hours as per DHS and any other trainings as needed to maintain compliance for Pre-K Counts regulations.
