Job Description

Job Summary At The Children' s Village, we believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where they can learn, grow and thrive. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with young children, a strong background in early childhood education, be committed to creating a positive learning environment and be able to foster meaningful relationships with children, families and coworkers. As a teacher in this setting, you will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate educational activities, fostering social skills, and ensuring the well-being of each child in their care. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support social, emotional, cognitive and physical development. Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Communicate effectively with parents and families about children's progress and daily activities. Collaborate with other staff members to create and supportive and inclusive team environment. Follow all state licensing regulations and center policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in ECE preferred) Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting or educational setting CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to be flexible, patient and compassionate What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and education Paid time off (vacation, sick, personal) Paid Holidays Free child care Professional development opportunities Supportive team environment
