A Preschool or Childcare Teacher works with young children, usually ages 3 - 5, to help them learn the social, motor and language skills needed to be ready for kindergarten and elementary school. Organizes activities and uses play or games to help children learn; develops schedules and routines for children that include exercise and rest. Works in a school or in a childcare center or program.

Our church is looking for a dependable, caring, and Christ-centered individual to serve in our nursery and help provide a safe, loving environment for our youngest church family members. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves children, enjoys serving others, and is looking for consistent part-time work on Sunday mornings — this position is especially a good fit for a college student or young adult looking to earn some extra income while being poured into and serving the Lord while already being plugged and poured into by their own community.
What You'll Do:
Care for and lovingly engage with infants and young children during church services and activities Play with, comfort, feed, change diapers and assist children as needed Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming nursery Follow all church childcare, safety, and security procedures Communicate warmly and respectfully with parents and church leadership Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality with children and families Arrive on time and be dependable for scheduled services- required availability is from 9:15-1:15 every Sunday morning We're looking for someone who: Is a born-again Christian who is actively living out their faith Genuinely loves babies and young children Has a servant's heart and desires to serve the Lord by caring for His children Is patient, nurturing, responsible, trustworthy, and dependable Is comfortable getting down on the floor, playing, reading, comforting, and engaging with little ones Conducts themselves professionally and respectfully Can commit to a consistent Sunday schedule Has previous childcare babysitting or nursery experience (preferred, but not required) Is willing to complete a background check and required child-safety training More Than a Job This is more than simply watching children. Our nursery is an important part of helping families feel welcomed and cared for at church. We want our children to experience the love of Christ from the moment they walk through our doors, and we want parents to be able to worship knowing their little ones are safe and well cared for.
