We care for infants and toddlers using the Magda Gerber Educaring® approach — which, in plain terms, means we treat babies as whole, capable people from day one. We move slowly. We observe before we act. We let children reach their milestones on their own timeline instead of rushing or propping them. And we protect unhurried play, gentle routines, and real relationships. Just as much, we are a community that values social cohesion and thinking together: our teachers reflect as a team, share observations at the end of each day, and make decisions together rather than in isolation. What you'd actually do Care for a small group of infants and/or toddlers with warmth, patience, and respect. Slow down the everyday moments — diapering, feeding, dressing — into calm, connected exchanges, narrating what you do and inviting each child to take part. Observe closely and write down what you notice, then bring it to the team so we can follow each child well. Protect uninterrupted play and let children work things out for themselves, offering help only when it's truly needed. Keep the room safe, orderly, and prepared so children can explore freely. Reflect and problem-solve alongside a team that genuinely thinks together. Who we're hoping to meet This role suits someone thoughtful, steady, and genuinely interested in people. Experience is a plus but not required. We especially welcome applicants with a background or coursework in child development, social work, or psychology — and we've found that people who've worked in the service industry often thrive here, because they already know how to stay present, read a room, and care for others under real conditions. A warm, patient, observant temperament — comfortable slowing down. Respect for children as capable individuals, and openness to the Educaring® approach.
