Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. As an Assistant Director, you will support the daily activities of the daycare, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role is essential in fostering positive interactions and promoting developmental growth among infants and young children. Responsibilities Assist in the supervision of children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Support classroom management by helping to maintain an organized and clean environment. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among children. Encourage assist teachers in implementing creative curriculum in their classrooms Ensure center is held to the highest DSS and ABC Quality standards Collaborate with lead teachers to plan and execute educational programs tailored to children's needs. Observe and document children's progress and behavior, providing feedback to parents and staff. Assist director in day to day operations Fill in classrooms / kitchen as needed Assist with administrative paperwork Communicate daily with daycare parents and family Help plan alongside the director in daily/monthly activities for the center Help create a welcoming environment Support director in any way needed Requirements High school diploma & Preferred ECD degree Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting Experience in a leadership position Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Skills in first aid, behavior management, and classroom management are highly desirable. Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.
