We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic 2-2.5 teacher who shares our commitment to serving children and families with patience, professionalism, compassion, and respect. The Toddler and Preschool teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for children approximately two to two and a half years of age. The ideal candidate understands the unique developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers and enjoys helping children develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively, and spiritually through developmentally appropriate practices. Our teachers are expected to model positive behavior, build meaningful relationships with children and families, work collaboratively with their classroom team, and contribute to a positive and supportive early childhood environment. Duties Provide attentive, loving, and responsive care to children in the two-year-old classroom. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's development and learning. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Follow established classroom routines, schedules, and center policies. Support children's social-emotional development, independence, communication, and problem-solving skills. Assist children with toileting, diapering, handwashing, meals, rest time, and other daily care routines as need. Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents Work cooperatively and respectfully with co-teachers, leaders and other staff members Follow all policies and procedures Experience Previous experience working with toddlers or young children preferred. Early childhood education experience or coursework is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must meet all applicable state licensing and childcare employment requirements. CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
