As a Floater, you will play an important role in supporting children and teachers across multiple classrooms and age groups. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children, thrives in a team environment, and wants to gain hands-on experience across different areas of early childhood education. You'll help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child feels supported, valued, and ready to learn. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, compassionate, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and transitions while maintaining a safe and positive environment. Support classroom teachers with daily activities, lesson implementation, routines, and age-appropriate learning experiences. Assist with positive behavior guidance and help children develop social-emotional skills. Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming classrooms that encourage exploration, creativity, and learning. Provide attentive and compassionate care to children with a variety of developmental, behavioral, and individual needs. Work collaboratively with all Center staff to ensure consistency and continuity of care throughout the day. Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents and caregivers regarding children's daily experiences, activities, and needs. Follow all applicable health, safety, licensing, and mandated reporting requirements. Follow established emergency procedures, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols. Transition smoothly between classrooms and age groups based on daily staffing and program needs. Help foster a positive, joyful, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience working with children in a preschool, daycare, childcare, babysitting, nannying, or similar setting. Genuine interest in early childhood education and the development of young children. Understanding of age-appropriate child development and positive behavior guidance. Ability to work effectively with children of varying ages, personalities, and developmental needs. Experience working with children with additional support needs is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, flexible, patient, and willing to jump in wherever support is needed. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality when working with children and families. Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification is preferred; training will be provided as needed. Previous classroom experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to provide training for motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow. Why Apply?
