Use classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respectful interactions among students. Engage in child development instruction tailored to individual needs, including special education support and early intervention strategies. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings, reports, or digital updates. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor learning outcomes and inform lesson planning. Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certification. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings is essential. Strong knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education tailored for young children. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, Montessori or other educational philosophies is a plus. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children. Ability to implement classroom experience best practices while fostering a nurturing learning environment. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in childhood development or preschool teaching is highly valued.
